Most of us believe in god, the though of a higher power tends to calm our soul.
Well i was just in a reflective mood this morning trying to think why do some people believe in god and others dont.
There has been so much wrong going on in this world which has no accountability.
Well the atheist believe that the universe is just random chaos, while the theist believe that there is some method to the madness. That there is right to every wrong.
A couple of points struck me then, the world today is driven by the western people. Mostly by The United States of America and to some extent by The United Kingdom and those to me are not the kind of people who should prosper if there was anything such as the proverb describes "What goes around, comes around."
Let us see why i say that shall we? India was ruled by The English for a very long time, and the natives suffered, all of there wealth was taken back home by the English so India grew poor while English grew wealthy. Yes, they were over thrown, and there queen did some to India after independence. She issued a statement saying she was 'sorry' for what her ancestors did to the colonies and thats it, end of the story. Did you believe justice was served there? I don't.
Another example let me take you to U.S.A. when you imagine the people of U.S. i bet your first though is not of the native red indians(I know mine isnt). The natives were killed mercilessly during the time of the wild wild west. Again the red indians were tortured by the new settlers (Gun trotting White Brits, who still prefer to live by the gun, in this day and age), and all they got in return was the 'Thanksgiving day'. Today the state is that they have to live on reservation land. The white said sorry (again). Was justice served? I dont see how.
This i was saving for last. Hitler, yes Adolf Hitler. The great evil dictator. He has been persecuted as being the most evil man to walk the earth. Well, he was doing what the brits have been doing all along. They made it such a big fuss about good triumphing over evil. I just see it as propaganda.
Think about the medieval times will you, its called mid-evil for for a reason.
The theist may reason that god is testing us, and so i ask. Has god been testing us for the past 1000 years? i dont think so.
[P.S. :- People may call this post racist, but it is the truth. I have not twisted any part of the above. Go back and read again if you like. They will say this post is less about faith and belief and more about bashing the white.]

/var/lib/gems/1.8/gems/activerecord-1.15.2/lib/active_record/vendor/mysql.rb:566:in `new'
#
/var/lib/gems/1.8/gems/activerecord-1.15.2/lib/active_record/vendor/mysql.rb:566:in `scramble41'"
And nothing gets written into the mysql database.
[EDIT]
The bug was fixed by updating my ruby gems.
I fixed this problem by running the command "gems update"
the details are as follows :-
The details are here:- http://pastebin.ca/750556
also i installed ri:-

Why's Poignant Guide To Ruby
Why's Poignant Guide To Ruby Is not just another book on coding in ruby (we need more of these) but it is really fun book to read. With onions an foxes and people from future and what not :P
Are You A Patriotic Indian,Sir?
Why are the god damn politicians so insecure about there patriotism? And why must they impose it on everything we see and everything that walks?
When I go to a movies I see a mockery being made of the national anthem, I bet if you ask Laloo or Modi or Advani or Thakre they wont even be able to resite it those filthy fucks.
We make such a big deal if Mandira wears a tri-colour sari or if Tendulkar cuts a tri-colour cake or if Sonia Gandhi was to become PM. (Listen up you cunts, it is because you don't have the balls to be anywhere near the post to run this country and the people know it.)
They talk of swadesh and swadeshi while there children get drunk (on foreign booze),with (foreign) music playing in a disc and enter into a brawl showing off daddy's power. If you haven't heard of the kids of some politician it is probably because they are not in India at all, while there daddy is going busting couples on the street in the name of "culture", they are in a foreign country because there daddy didn't think this country's education system was good enough for them.
If you ask me, the next generation is going to be the least patriotic of all. Have you seen how many people want to rush out of this country for a better future in search of a better education or a better job.
I don't pretend to be the most patriotic guy who ever lived, nor am I preaching it but at least I am not imposing my idealistic belief on everything that walks.

Tazz is going through seizures.
Tazz is going through seizures, The first time i saw tazz go through this, it was damn scary I didn't know how to help him, what to do. I thought his days are numbered. There was foam all over his mouth and he lost control of his bladder and shake violently.
I talked to his vet about this and the vet said that the seizures were a genetically condition, he gave tazz some shots and prescribed some medication, but i don't think its helping as he has had those attacks about 4 times till now and every time i am scared shitless.
I read-up a bit about it and i think it is a form of canine epilepsy, i got most of my info from canine-epilepsy. It seems like there is nothing we can do about it. That is the really sad part.
I love that pooch to bits, don't know what i would do with out him.
[P.S:- He has started loosing weight too...]

Trip to Delhi.
I was in Delhi from 27th sept till 1st oct attending freed.in (I'll save the details for another blog), by the way did i mention this was my first flight ever, mum was accompanying me to to Delhi, she took a break from schooling to meet Mamaji,Mamiji and all.
Our flight was going to take off from Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport at 5:55 am, we got there at 3:00 am. We were flying with spicejet, the CSI airport was mostly vacant at that time. I had my look around, while scanning for wifi hotpoints i found that tata had wifi connection in the waiting area, and to my surprised found a free wifi point after the security check.
We landed in Delhi at 8:00 am, Anupam bhai cam e and picked us up (after a mild confusion between my dad and Anupam bhai, my dad mistook spicejet for inkjet :D ). After visiting Saket we were taken to Gurgaon to visit Mamaji and Mamiji. I right away went to JNU as the organisers of Freed had made arrangement for our stay in the University guesthouse.
I got back to Saket on 29th Spent the entire sunday in Saket and landed back in Gurgaon on 1th oct picked mom up for the airoport for our (6:00 pm flight which got delayed by 45min) and came stright to office from the airport. All in all i was glad that mum got to visit her brother in delhi after 10 years!

Freed.in 2007
Freed.in formerly known as freedel, was a 2 day event taking place on 27th and 28th sept. I met Kishore (Bigbeard) and Tirveni (beersingh) at Kishore's office, from there we were off to garden of five senses and other assorted places where freed.in people could have a after party.
After haggling all the managers we finally landed in Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) at School of Information Technology (SIT).
I met pradeepto with his laptop sitting inside the freed.in HQ (aptly labelled room 007 :D ). Later after roaming around a bit, the rest of the Mumbai junta arrived. The dinner plans included going to sanjha chulha for kababs. At the dinner table we found that kartik had arived at the guesthouse and had to eat maggie.
Day one of freed.in started with a bit of randomness as we had 6 odd halls with talks giong in them. I was supposed to keep an eye on the wikitiki hall but sometime around mid-noon i found out that i was in the wrong room. I was able to attend a talk on plan9 by Anant Narayanan. After locating the hall i was supposed to monitor, we had random projector brakedown. The last talk of the day was on opensolaris by one of there employee, which seemed to be a hit with the students.
Day 2 started off a bit late for me, i went to the registration counter to get a schedule for day-2 went to devdas/Karanbir Singh's workshop kickstart/puppet, went to see barkha's talk pradeepto's talk came back to the kickstart/puppet workshop.
At lunch i met all the usual suspects from #linux-india
I borrowed a laptop from Dinesh (thanks dude) there were a okish number of audience, the good thing was i didnt loose even one of them ;-)
Media covered the event here is a link to the ET article.
